MIKE CURRIE

Chief Executive Officer

Mike Currie has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector, having worked across many customer and geographical segments, and numerous major transformation projects which have equipped him with the skills vital to successful change management and innovation. A recognised and respected facilitator of change, he brings strong leadership skills to QBANK.

Holding a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a Masters Degree in Applied Finance – Mike is also a Senior Fellow of Finsia, and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Paula Hayes

BBus (Accounting)

Chief of Distribution and Partnerships

Paula Hayes is a highly regarded leader in the banking and financial services industry. Her diverse experience over 25 years brings a wealth of knowledge and insights to the QBANK team. Her role as Chief of Distribution leads the Sales, Marketing and Distribution functions and maintains the successful momentum of key organisational goals.

Paula has owned and managed multiple small business within financial services and is a qualified Mortgage Broker, she also holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, giving her true insight into the finance needs of QBANK Members.

Julia Reid

BBus (Accounting), CA

Chief Operating Officer

With more than 25 years’ experience in providing internal audit and risk advisory services across a wide range of organisations in the private and public sector, Julia joined QBANK in 2015 as Internal Audit Manager, later being appointed as Chief Operating Officer in 2021.

Leading the member service teams at QBANK, Julia is responsible for the oversight of member experience in our call centre, branches and operation teams ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement and delivery of exceptional service to our members.

JOSIE KING

BCom, LLB(Hons I), GradDip(ACG), FGIA

Chief Risk & Governance Officer

Leading the Risk, Governance and Compliance team at QBANK, Josie is responsible for the development and implementation of these frameworks with her role encompassing the position of Company Secretary and CRO.

Josie has over 20 years’ experience as a solicitor, company secretary and risk and governance professional and has worked in a variety of diverse industries including financial services, energy, aviation and property. She supports the business by providing timely and practical advice to enhance strategic decision-making and ensure regulatory obligations are met.

TREVOR MCNAMARA

Chief Information Officer

With nearly 20 years experience working in Technology and Project Management roles, Trevor leads the Technology and Transformation team at QBANK. He is responsible for the establishment and implementation of best practice Digital and Technology strategy for the Bank along with transformation initiatives.

Trevor brings knowledge and experience of complex and large-scale transformational projects to the Executive team and assists in driving strategic decision-making to improve the member experience and the services offered to members.

MATT O'KEEFE

Chief Financial Officer

With more than 25 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry, Matt joined QBANK in 2021 as the Chief Financial Officer, having had significant previous experience with other financial institutions in the roles of CFO and Financial Controller. Matt is responsible for the accounting and treasury functions of the bank and maintaining integrity of financial information. Matt has a keen focus on ensuring a strong, sustainable business for members.

Matt is a CPA qualified accountant and holds several qualifications which include a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance), Advanced Diploma in Business, Diploma in Frontline Management and Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.

KERRIE COLEMAN

Executive Advisor, People & Culture

Kerrie joined QBANK in June 2016. She has worked in executive roles in a variety of industries and geographies including in the U.S. and throughout Asia Pacific. With over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Kerrie has a track record of facilitating cultural transformation and organisational performance. Kerrie has a strong appreciation of how a positive workplace culture ultimately translates into excellent customer experiences. At QBANK, she has responsibility for the employee and member service functions.

Her focus is on the development and engagement of our people, creating a culture of operational excellence, and delivering exceptional service to our members.

KELLY SMITH - Maternity Leave

Chief Financial Officer

With more than 15 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry, Kelly joined QBANK in 2011 as the Finance Manager, later being appointed as Chief Financial Officer, in 2019. Kelly is responsible for the accounting and treasury functions of the bank and maintaining integrity of financial information. Kelly has a keen focus on ensuring a strong, sustainable business for members.

Kelly is a CPA qualified accountant and holds several qualifications which include a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) and Graduate Diploma of Mathematics with Distinction.
