The QBANK App FAQs

Using the QBANK App you can:

  • View account balances and transactions.
  • Search transactions.
  • Transfer funds between your own accounts and to other financial institutions.
  • Pay bills via BPAY®.
  • Edit Payee and Biller details.
  • Delete, update and view scheduled payments.
  • Change the PIN for your Visa Debit and Credit cards.
  • Lock and unlock your Visa Debit and Credit Cards as required.
  • Set up a Savings Goal or Quick Balance to appear on the home screen.

What are my login options?

You will be required to enter your Member number and Internet Banking password when logging into the QBANK App for the very first time. After that, you will be prompted to set up a login method:

  • PIN.
  • Pattern.
  • Fingerprint authentication (Android only).
  • TouchID (iOS only).
  • FaceID (iOS only).
  • Internet Banking Password

 

What do I do if I have forgotten my login PIN or Pattern, or if either have been compromised?

Select 'Forgot login details' at the login page in the app. You will then be prompted to reset your PIN or Pattern using your Member number and password to authenticate yourself.

 

How do I log out of the app?

Tap the exit icon located at the top right of the app to log out.

 

How do I register/disable my fingerprint login?

New Users:

  1. Open the QBANK App.
  2. Complete registration
  3. Choose Biometrics authentication.


Existing Users:

  1. Login into the QBANK App
  2. Navigate to the menu in the top left hand corner, and then Settings & security, the Settings. Under Security options, turn on Biometrics.
  3. Follow the prompts to activate Biometrics.
  4. Your fingerprint/face will be stored to your device and available next time you login.

Important note: Once a fingerprint/face is activated any fingerprint/face stored to the phone can be used to login to the mobile app.

 

If I enable Biometrics can I still login with my passcode?

Once you enable biometrics login it will be the default login method. However, you can change this back to your PIN in settings.

Is the QBANK App compatible with all devices?

The app is compatible with Apple and Android devices. We currently do not offer an app for Windows and Blackberry devices.

Note: While the app can be installed and used on iPads and Android tablets, the user interface is not specifically designed or optimised for use on tablets.

 

Do I need to register for Internet Banking first?

Yes, to get started with the QBANK App you will need to register for Internet Banking. If you need assistance registering for Internet Banking, contact our member services team on 13 77 28.

How do I search for transactions in the new app?

Tap ‘Accounts’ from the quick access menu in the bottom left of the app Home screen, login using your preferred method and then select the Account or Loan you would like to search through.

In the bottom right-hand corner, tap the orange search icon and enter your search term (keyword) or dollar amount.

 

What is a Quick Balance and how do I set it up?

You can view the balance of a nominated account by swiping from the Home screen in the new app.

To select a Quick Balance account, swipe to ‘Set up quick balance’ from the Home screen, tap ‘Setup’ and follow the prompts.

 

Can I change how the order of my accounts are displayed?

You can change the order of your accounts to suit your preferences.

  • Navigate to the menu in the top left hand corner and select 'Settings & security' and ‘Settings’
  • Select 'Re-order accounts’.
  • Use the arrows to move individual accounts up and down in the list

 

How do I transfer money between my accounts?

Transfer money between your eligible QBANK Accounts using the following step

  • Tap the 'Pay' button in the bottom menu to open the payments menu
  • Select 'Transfer' and enter the following details:
    • From account
    • To account
    • Amount
    • Description
    • Pay now, later, or recurring.
  • Hit the 'Pay' button to proceed.
  • Review your transfer details on the summary screen, and if they are correct hit the 'Pay' button to complete the transfer

 

How do I send money to an external account?

Transfer money to an external account using BSB/Account Number or PayID with the following steps:

  • Tap the 'Pay' button in the bottom menu to open the payments menu
  • Select 'Pay anyone' and enter the following details:
    • Transfer method (Standard or OSKO)
    • From account
    • To account (external)
    • Amount
    • Description/reference
  • Hit the 'Pay' button to proceed.
  • Review your transfer details on the summary screen, and if they are correct hit the 'Pay' button to complete the transfer

 

How do I make a payment using BPAY?

Make a payment using BPAY with the following steps:

  • Tap the 'Pay' button in the bottom menu to open the payments menu
  • Select 'BPAY' and enter the following details:
    • From account
    • To bill code
    • Amount
    • Reference
    • Pay now, later, or recurring
  • Hit the ‘Pay' button to proceed
  • Review your transfer details on the summary screen, and if they are correct hit the 'Pay' button to complete the payment

 

How do I set up future and recurring payments?

In order to set up future or recurring payments, simply begin your transfer or payment as you would normally. When entering your transaction details you will see a blue bar with the options 'Pay Now' - 'Pay Later' - 'Recurring Pay'.

Select 'Pay Later' to make a one-off future payment and enter the desired date.

Select 'Recurring Pay' to schedule ongoing future payments and enter start date, frequency, and payment schedule'.

Once complete, tap the 'Pay' button to proceed.

 

How do I add/manage Payees?

To view and manage your payees tap the 'Pay' button in the bottom menu to open the payments menu, then select 'Manage Payees'.

By tapping on the icon next to a payee you can make a payment, edit the payees details, or delete the payee.
When editing a payee, you can change details including:

  • BSB
  • Account number
  • Account name
  • Nickname

 

Can I set a default account for transfers?

You can change which of your accounts is pre-selected as the default 'from' account in transfers and payments.

Navigate to the menu in the top left hand corner, and select 'Settings & security', then ‘Settings’ and select 'Set default payment account', select the desired account and hit the 'Save' button.

How do I activate my card?

Activate your QBANK Visa Card using the app with the following steps:

  • Tap the 'Cards' button in the bottom menu to view and manage your cards.
  • When a new card is available to activate, select 'Activate card’.
  • Enter the expiry date.
  • Hit the 'Submit' button.

 

Can I lock my card using the app?

You are able to lock and unlock your cards using the app. This is useful if you think you may have misplaced your card but don't want to flag it as lost.

  • Tap the 'Cards' button in the bottom menu to view and manage your cards
  • Swipe until you find the card you wish the lock
  • Use the toggle switch with the lock icon to lock and unlock the card

 

How do I change my card PIN?

You can change your card PIN using the QBANK App with the following steps:

  • Tap the 'Cards' button in the bottom menu to view and manage your cards.
  • Swipe to find the card you wish to change the PIN for
  • Hit the white 'Change PIN' button.
  • Enter and confirm your new PIN and hit the 'Continue' button.

Can I manage my PayID within the QBANK App?

Yes, you can create and manage your PayID within the QBANK App. You can take the following actions:

  • Set-up a new PayID and link it with a selected account.
  • Change the selected account for an existing PayID.
  • Transfer the PayID to another financial institution.
  • Close the PayID if you no longer need it.

 

How do I create a PayID in the app?

To create a new PayID:

  1. Navigate to the menu in the top left hand corner and select 'My details'
  2. Select ‘My PayID’
  3. Select the contact details you would like to use.
  4. Select the account you would like to link your PayID to
  5. Hit the ‘Save’ button and follow the prompts

How do I set my Savings Goal?

You can set up your Savings Goal by taping the 'Set up' button the savings goal screen (swipe across on your home screen), or by selecting ‘Saving goal’ by navigating to the menu in the top left corner.

Enter the name of your goals, assign your target amount and choose the account you wish to link it to.

Once set-up your home screen will show your progress towards the savings goal.

 

How do I remove or change my Savings Goal?

You can change your Savings Goal by:

  • Navigate to the menu in the top left-hand corner and select ‘Savings goal’.
  • In the ‘Savings Goal’ section, you can disable the Savings Goal.

This notification will be displayed when you have registered the app through another device. Select 'Yes' if you wish to view and manage these devices.
